Best Routes in Pokémon

Before we proceed to the routes, please note that we have omitted certain locations due to the issue of being unable to label them as routes when a definition is applied.

However, we have tried our best to bring the most-wanted routes of the game.

Route 1 – Kanto – Pokémon Red, Blue, & Yellow

Located in the Kanto region, Route 1, when traveled in an S pattern, reaches Viridian City. Trees surround the route on all sides, and various ledges block the path at different points of the route. In the Pokémon Anime Series, it first appeared in the first episode, “Pokémon – I Choose You!”

Route 45 – Johto – Pokémon Gold, Silver, & Crystal

Route 45 can be found in the eastern part of Johto, acting as a connecting link between Blackthorn City and Route 46. One can enter the route only through the northern terminus because the steep ledges of the area make travel to northern Blackthorn City impossible.

Route 27 – Johto/Kanto – Pokémon Gold, Silver, & Crystal

Located in the southwestern Kanto, this route connects Johto on the western side and Route 26 on the eastern side of New Bark Town. The famous waterfalls, the Tohjo Falls, are located on this route. As a waterlogged route, Trainers should surf from New Bark Town to reach the entry.

Route 108 – Hoenn – Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, & Emerald

This route is a water-filled path located in the southern Hoenn, connecting routes 107 and 109. As a path across the sea, some swimmers can find this a short route, and various hidden items can be found in the shallow areas. However, the northern and southern edges are filled with rocky boundaries.

Route 113 – Hoenn – Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, & Emerald

It begins when the above-mentioned rocky formations transform into unique, large trees that can only be found in this area. As a part of northern Hoenn, this route connects Route 111 and Fallarbor Town. It is filled with tall grasses, volcanic ash, and dirt along the way. Apart from Ether and Nugget, this area contains Hyper Potion.

Route 208 – Sinnoh – Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, & Platinum

Route 208 is a part of central Sinnoh, and it connects Hearthome City with Mount Coronet. It consists of a series of bridges, and the one near the chasm will take the travelers into a meadow near Berry Master’s house. The items in the route include X Speed, Great Ball, Ether, Iron, Carbos, and Honey.

Route 217 – Sinnoh – Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, & Platinum

Situated in northern Sinnoh, it connects Route 216 with Acuity Lakefront. It is in the middle of a huge blizzard, and players can ride bicycles or run.

When players access it via Pokémon Platinum, they can see Maylene and chat with her. The items in this route include Riveval Herb, Blue Shard, Ultra Ball, Iron, Calcium, and the Full Heal.

Route 4 – Unova – Pokémon Black & White/Black 2 & White 2

Situated in the central Unova, Route 4 connects Castelia City with Nimbasa City and Join Avenue. Unlike the previous paths, this is an extreme desert with deep sand instead of grass and trees.

It is filled with construction sites, half done and abandoned due to the discovery of ancient ruins. The items include Pearl, Hyper Potion, Ether, and Protein.

Route 10 – Unova – Pokémon Black & White

It is a route in northern Unova that connects Opelucid City to Victory Road, and the players battle Cheren again here.

This area was sealed off in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 due to a landslide that happened in the old Victory Road. This place has various Badge Gates, including the Freeze Badge and Jet Badge.

Route 4 – Kalos – Pokémon X & Y

Connecting Santalune City with Lumiose City, Route 4, also known as Parterre Way, is a beautiful path filled with different coloured flowers, hedge mazes, and a Perle Fountain. Players meet Shina and Dexio for the first time here. The items include Repel, Honey, Super Potion, Great Ball, and Poison Barb.

Route 8 – Alola – Pokémon Sun & Moon/Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon

Placed in Alola’s Akala Island, Route 8 connects Route 7 and Route 5, and it is filled with various items and areas. Using Machamp Shove, an isolated area of this path can be accessed.

Also, one of Aether Foundation’s bases is found in this area, near the Dividing Peak Tunnel. The items along the path include Rare Candy, Miracle Seed, Iron, Balm Mushroom, and Max Repel.

Route 1 – Galar – Pokémon Sword & Shield

Another route in the south of Galar, Route 1, connects Postwick with Wedgehurst. Players can choose between two paths, one with various patches and tall grass, and one without any. Between the tall grass, players can find Potion and Paralyze Heal from the eastern side of the route.
