Step 1 – Acquire a Set of Diamond Armor

You need to have a diamond helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots. To set the diamond armor, you will need:

  • 5 diamonds for the helmet.
  • 8 diamonds for the chestplate.
  • 7 diamonds for the leggings.
  • 4 diamonds for the boots.

A 3×3 crafting grid can be used to craft the diamond armor. You also need to get the full set of diamonds to create the armor.

Step 2 – Go to the Nether

You need to go to the Nether to get the Netherite Scraps for crafting Netherite armor. It can only be found in this place. To access this place, you must go through the Nether Portal.

The Nether Portal can be built using 14 Obsidian blocks configured in a 4*5 rectangle. After completing this, you can activate the portal by lighting the fire. If you find a Ruined Portal, you can access the Nether by fixing the portal.

Step 3 – Mine 16 Ancient Debris

Once you reach the Nether, you will find Ancient Debris. You can use the Netherite Pickaxe to mine the debris. It cannot be mined using any other pickaxe.

Step 4 – Smelt the Debris into Scraps

You can mine the Ancient Debris into Netherite Scrap when it is placed into a smelter with fuel.

Moreover, you can blast furnaces, smoker, campfire, or smelt.

Step 5 – Craft Netherite Ingots

To create a Netherite Ingot, you have to merge 4 Netherite Scraps and 4 Gold Ingots on a 3*3 crafting grid. There is no configuration to craft an Ingot.

Step 6 – Find Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template

You have to go to the Bastion Remnants to find the Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template. You can either get it in a Hoglin stable or a treasure chest.

Step 7 – Duplicate the Template

Duplicate the smithing template with one Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template, 7 Diamonds, and 1 Netherack. One Smithing Template can be duplicated using 3 Netherrack and 21 diamonds.

You can keep searching for more Smithing Templates.

Step 8 – Craft a Table

If you do not have a duplicate Smithing Table, you can create it using 2 Iron Ingots and 4 Planks. Smithing Tables that spawn in Train Ruins or Toolsmith houses can also be used.

Step 9 – Upgrade Diamond Pieces in Armor

To create a piece of Netherite Armor, you have to get all the collected things, including Netherite Ingot, a Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template, and a piece of Diamond armor in the Smithing Table.

You can repeat the step to create a helmet, boots, leggings, chestplate, and complete the Netherite Armor.
